Day 8 of our family vacation involved a long day of traveling from Omaha, NE to Milwaukee, WI. It took us about 10 hours for an 8 hour trip due to detours and the occasional needed potty breaks. The kids did really well... while they slept!
All in all, everyone did a great 'getting along' in the van. Although there was that time when the GPS (or Jezebel 3000 as it has been called) seemed to mess up and took us way out of the way as we attempted to get back on track after one of the detours. Dad was not in a good mood... And Mom didn't say "Stop and ask directions!", although it's pretty certain she was thinking it.We had a tremendous blessing when we arrived at the hotel in Milwaukee... We were able to change our original room to a two bedroom suite at no extra charge. This gives us plenty of room to move around and (with the pull out sofa) everyone has their own bed. God is Good!
